GIS Project Manager
ARH Associates is actively seeking a talented, energetic technology minded individual for a Project Manager position in our GIS Department, Civil Solutions (CS), for immediate employment at our headquarters in Hammonton, NJ or as a remote position.
The Project Manager will report to the VP of Geospatial Services and support both our internal and external clients. This position will support a wide variety of projects including supporting local government, environmental permitting, engineering, site assessments/inspections and more. A successful candidate will work with various ARH/CS staff and dynamic project teams.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Interact with clients to understand business requirements.
- Develop cost-effective GIS solutions to meet business needs.
- Work with clients and project team to determine project scope, budget, schedule and deliverables.
- Oversee risk management, change control and quality assurance activities.
- Supervise project team in application design, development, testing and deployment.
- Schedule client meetings to update about project status
- Develop project work plans and determine resource requirements.
- Monitor and control project expenses within allotted budget.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Analyze GIS problems and provide immediate resolutions.
- Maintain accurate client communication and project documentations.
- Respond to client enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, or analytical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of related project management experience
- Has strong knowledge and understanding of the Esri platform
- Experience with GIS data development in support of problem solving
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive communicator
- Self-motivated and an ability to work with minimal supervision
- Plans, designs, and develops complex documents, and analyzes spatial and relational databases.
- Experience in the processing and analysis of raster and vector geospatial data
- Experience in cartographic design and production concepts and principles
- Experience in relational database organization, design, and functionality
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate in both verbal and written form
- Can work productively in both independent and team environments
- Well-developed communication skills
- Comfortable in a dynamic work environment with ability to adapt to shifting priorities
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
